If you are keeping an eye on the housing market, the latest numbers for March 2026 are in! These numbers focus on "previously owned" single-family homes, which gives us a great look at how our local neighborhoods are doing.
The big news is that the median sales price for the entire Upstate MLS hit $350,000. This is an 6% increase from last March. If we look even further back to March 2021, prices have grown by over 35%! This shows that the Upstate remains a very strong place to own a home.
Greenville saw a huge jump this year. The median price for a single-family home in the city hit $440,000, which is 22% higher than it was just one year ago! Other areas showed steady growth too. Spartanburg saw prices rise by about 10% to $295,000, and Mauldin rose to $357,500.
Some areas stayed almost the same or dipped just a little. For example, Greer had a median price of $387,000, and Taylors was at $329,900. For buyers, these "steady" areas might be the perfect place to look for a home without as much competition.
