If you haven’t heard the "pop-pop" sound of a pickleball paddle lately, you might be the only one! Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in the Upstate. It’s like a mix of tennis and ping-pong, and anyone can play.
If you are looking for a place to join the fun, here are the top spots to check out right now:
PKL Park (Greenville): Located right next to Unity Park, this is more than just courts.
It has 8 lighted outdoor courts, three "micro-restaurants," and a stage for live music. You can play a game and then grab a taco and a drink! The Pickle Yard (Mauldin): This brand-new spot just opened in Maverick Yards!
It features 6 indoor courts, so you can play even when it's raining. They also have golf simulators and amazing food from a top-rated chef. The Picklr: Coming Spring 2026! For those who want to play late, this huge indoor facility on East North Street is open until midnight most days.
Gower Park & Timmons Park: If you want a classic park feel, these are the local favorites for outdoor play. They are great places to meet neighbors and join a quick pickup game.
